Cod with Mustard Sauce

Today I will be writing about one of my favorite dishes. A very very delicious dish that my dad made me fall in love with when he cooked it for me. Originally this recipe uses monkfish tails instead of cod (which is absolutely divine) but cod works as well.

Ingredients for the fish

500g cod (if you can find the small and fresh fish instead of the atlantic one, go for that)
4 garlic cloves
1 big chili pepper
1 cup of olive oil
pepper
salt

Ingredients for the sauce

1 tbsp mild mustard
1 shot of lemon juice
oregano
parsley (optional)

Prepare fish: Cut the cod into slices and put them in a pan with olive oil that is preheated. The aim is to simmer the fish not to fry it in the olive oil. Add the garlic cloves, the seasoning and the chili pepper. Cook over low heat for 5-10 minutes.

Prepare sauce: Pour the lemon juice, mustard, salt, broth from the pan, and the oregano into a bowl and mix well.

Place the cod in a plate and add the sauce on top. Top with parsley if desired. Enjoy!
